Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
In short
The guide can be read without an account, a form or advertising cookies. We do not sell or share personal data for commercial purposes.
This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Controller: Julien Castro, Geneva (Switzerland).
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Vercel. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and technical browser information to deliver pages and keep them secure. These logs are managed by Vercel and may be processed in the United States.
Audience measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate (page views, country, device type). The tool sets no cookie and is not used to identify you or follow you across sites.
Third-party services loaded by the pages
Fonts: EB Garamond and Manrope are loaded from Google Fonts, which passes your IP address to Google.
Map: the Map page shows a Mapbox base map. Your browser then contacts Mapbox’s servers, which receive your IP address and map usage data.
Photographs: some images are displayed directly from the websites of the places and maisons, which then receive your IP address as they would on a visit to their own site.
These providers may process data outside Switzerland, notably in the United States, under their own privacy policies.
Storage in your browser
The site stores two preferences locally, with no personal data: whether you have already seen the loading screen this session, and the display theme. They stay on your device and are cleared with the site’s data.
Contact by email
If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, and do not keep them longer than the exchange requires.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data by writing to julien.castro@protonmail.com. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
